What is a “cosmetic dentist”?
It is a general dentist who further their studies in cosmetic dental work such as veneers, bonding and teeth whitening
What are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are custom made to restore/ reshape teeth
Do my teeth need to be “shaved” for veneers?
Porcelain veneers require removal of some tooth structure for most cases, to create space for the material. However, they can be very conservative, with 0.3mm thickness porcelain shells.
What is composite bonding?
Composite bonding refers to restorations that are directly bonded to the teeth, without the need of extra removal of tooth structure.
How often should I see the dentist?
We recommend 6 monthly check up & clean visits to prevent problems and maintain oral health
Will my orthodontic treatment be visible?
With braces the answer is Yes. Metal braces show more but we have tooth-coloured ceramic braces available. With Invisalign® the answer is No. Clear aligners are virtually invisible.
Is my orthodontic treatment effective?
Very. Dr Gustavo Vivaldi can curate and deliver an amazing result for you using either braces or Invisalign®. However, sometimes Invisalign treatments are faster than conventional braces.
Is orthodontic treatment suitable for my child?
Yes, there is a myriad of appliances designed to cater for the needs of younger patients. Invisalign® is the most comfortable and efficient treatment modality. We offer Invisalign First and Invisalign Teen to help your child achieve the perfect smile.
Are Braces and Invisalign comfortable?
It takes some time to get used to braces and they will remain in place until your treatment plan is finished. With Invisalign® after a few days they will be part of your routine. They are much more comfortable than braces.
Will my orthodontics treatment be expensive?

Does my health fund cover my treatment?
Depending on your particular level the health funds will cover part of the treatment. Most health funds cover general dentistry procedures.
