What is composite bonding?

Composite bonding uses a tooth-coloured resin, applied and sculpted directly onto the tooth in a single visit, to repair chips, close small gaps and reshape teeth. What are porcelain veneers?

Do my teeth need to be shaved for veneers?

Porcelain veneers require the removal of some tooth structure in most cases, to create space for the material, though the preparation can be very conservative with shells as thin as 0.3mm. Composite bonding and composite veneers usually require little or no removal, which is one reason we discuss both options with you before deciding.

Is cosmetic dentistry covered by health insurance?

Cosmetic treatment is generally not covered by private health funds. Where part of your treatment has a functional purpose, such as repairing a damaged tooth, it may be partly claimable depending on your fund and level of cover.
